هو أبو عماد قبل استشهاده بعدة أيام تحدث الشهيد نضال مع أمه في نقلة نوعية في عمل المقاومة القسامية وهو استخدام الطائرة الشراعية لضرب أهداف صهيونية تستهدف المدن السكان الصهاينة المحتلين لأرضنا سواء في مدننا المحتلة أو في المغتصبات داخل القطاع وقال لأمه أن هذه الطائرة الشراعية تحمل 20 كيلو جرام من المفجرات يتم تحريكها عبر رموت كنترول فوق المغتصبة المستهدفة وإلقاء هذه المتفجرات ثم العودة إلى مكان الانطلاق ووعد أمه بتطوير هذه الطائرة حتى استشهد رحمه الله تعالى وهو يحمل حلمين استعد من أجلهما التخلي عن ابنه عماد  الحلم الأول  تطوير الصاروخ الجديد وهو الآن في غرفة العمليات القسامية وهو تحت التجهيز والحلم الثاني استخدام الطائرة الشراعية في ضرب الاحتلال وإيقاع أكبر خسائر ممكنة بأقل تكاليف وأقل خسارة.

Qassam rockets launching From Gaza Strip

Intro.
Qassam rocket
  • Is a simple home made rocket manufactured in gaza strip and may be in Arab-Isarael developed by the Izz ad-Din al-QassamBrigades, the military arm of Hamas
  • It's first developed by Nidal Fathy Farhat and produced under the direction of Adnan Al-Ghoul the father of the Qassam
The Qassam rocket was first launched into Israeli territory on March 5, 2002, by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. While the rocket lacks a guidance system and is very inaccurate, the initial psychological effect of the rockets upon Israel has been significant. Prior to the Qassam, Palestinian militants lacked the means to conduct long range attacks.
To address the problem of rocket launches from populated areas, the IDF modified its rules of engagement to permit its forces to fire on targets a few hundred meters from Palestinian homes and police positions.  
Feb. 2006 -::- The Qassam succeeded in striking stratigic sites in Asqalan including Oil Terminal and Power stations ( 15 Km far of Gaza Border )
Israeli force have conducted many assaisinations to in the Qassam production but they fail to achieve that goal
On 28 December 2008, two impacts of artillery rockets were identified near the towns of Gan Yavne and Bnei Darom. The rockets were launched from the northern Gaza Strip and attained ranges of some 33-34 km. Examination showed that they were Chinese-made rockets with similar characteristics to standard 122-mm rockets. The maximum range of those rockets is up to 40 km.
The Israeli Center for Victims of Terror and War found that 28 percent of adults and 30 percent of children of Sderot have post-traumatic stress disorder.

Design
The aim of the Qassam rocket design appears to be ease and speed of manufacture, using common tools and components.
Qassam rockets are home made projectiles made from common civilian products, including pipes made of steel, cast iron, and aluminum.
Body-::-The pipe (~2.5-3mm thick.) is affixed at the top end with a small warhead that weighs just a few pounds. At the bottom end of the tube, four small stabilizing wings on one end, along with detonators and fuses.

Fuel-::-
the rockets are propelled by a solid mixture of sugar and potassium nitrate, a widely available fertilizer.
War head-::-
The warhead consists of a simple metal shell surrounding the explosives, and is triggered by a fuze constructed using a simple firearm cartridge, a spring and a nail.
It's filled with smuggled or scavenged TNT and urea nitrate, another common fertilizer.
Nozzle Development and  it's Impact to targeting Precision-::-
While early designs used a single nozzle which screwed into the base, recent rockets use a seven-nozzle design, with the nozzles drilled directly into the rocket base-plate. 
This change both increases the tolerance of the rocket to small nozzle design defects, and eases manufacture by allowing the use of a drill rather than a lathe during manufacture due to the smaller nozzle size. Unlike many other rockets, the nozzles are not canted, which means the rocket does not spin about its longitudinal axis during flight.


While this results in a significant decrease in accuracy, it greatly simplifies rocket manufacture and the launch systems required.
In addition to this is the Modification in firing unit to be Time Activated which allow more Saftey for bandeds 
 Hamas has improved Qassam technology. Indeed, Hamas claims to have developed three updated models since the Qassam I. However, due to the inconsistent level and grade of materials used to manufacture the rockets, not every rocket performs to the intended specifications. The most recent upgrade, the Qassam IV, is still in its trial stages. Thus, Hamas only lists three official rockets on its website.

  • Qassam I. This rocket weighs 77 lbs, has a diameter of 4.5 inches, a length of 6 feet, a maximum range of 1.86 miles, and contains a warhead that weighs 18 pounds. The primary target for this rocket is Sderot and its environs. The Qassam I accounts for most rockets fired to date (first used in October 2001).
  • Qassam II. This rocket weighs up to 88 pounds, has a diameter of 4.5 inches, a length of 6 feet, a maximum range of 4.35 miles, and contains a warhead that weighs 8.8 pounds. The Qassam II continues to hammer Sderot and its environs (used primarily from 2002-2005).
  • Qassam III. This rocket weighs 110 pounds, has a diameter of 4.5 inches, a length of over 8 feet, a maximum range of 6.21 miles, and contains a warhead that weighs 17.6 pounds. The Qassam III has reached Ashkelon and its surrounding areas.
  • Qassam IV. This rocket weighs 88-110 pounds, has a diameter of 4.5 inches, a length over 8.5 feet, a maximum range of 9 miles or more, and its warhead weighs 22 pounds. The Qassam IV has hit Ashkelon and may travel even farther as technology develops.

The "Color brown" system provides warning to civilians from the launch to the rocket strike:
Up to 10 km. - 15 seconds
10-20 km. - 30 seconds
20-30 km. - 45 seconds
30-40 km. - 1 minute


The Comparative Advantages Of this home made rockets-::-
There are those who might underestimate the importance of the Qassam rocket. Doing so would be incorrect, for the following reasons:
The difficulty to destroy these rockets' sources of manufacturing. All the bombings of the workshops carried out by the Zionist army failed. The manufacturing of Qassam rockets has not stopped; quite the opposite, it has been upgraded.
From a technical standpoint, the Zionist army presently does not have any means to intercept an airborne Qassam rocket. The only possibility, therefore, to stop the fire, if possible, is to strike the operating cells or the rockets them selves, a moment before they are launched.
A preemptive strike against the attacking cell is a complicated and almost impossible affair. According to the assessments of the Zionist army, the members of the resistance bring the missiles in vans and unload them under the cover of agricultural activity. This makes them more difficult to expose. Furthermore, the available timeframe of the Zionist forces is a quarter of an hour at the most. It takes this long for the resistance members to aim the rockets and activate them at a distance using an electronic timer. To foil this action, the army needs to keep combat helicopters in the air for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is, therefore, highly bothersome.
The idea of establishing a security zone in the West Bank is not considered to be an effective one. There are inhabited areas all along the separation line, located close to each other and separated only by the security fence. In addition, there is no territorial depth that can serve as a [safety] zone. The entire distance between Qalqilya and occupied “Tel-Aviv” is no greater than 7 km. The distance between Netanya and Tulkarm is no greater than 4 km. Ramallah and Bethlehem are adjacent to Jerusalem . The settlements are everywhere.
Therefore, the Zionist army does not have a magic solution [for Qassam rocket fire] save for one: perpetrating acts of mass murder.

The Zionists are troubled by the development of the Qassam rocket in the West Bank . In spite of intensive arrests designed to prevent the formation of a permanent infrastructure of the resistance [factions], there are no serious security solutions. Therefore, the only solution, as far as the Zionist establishment is concerned, is severe retaliation for every Qassam rocket launched, in order to teach the Palestinians a lesson and make them think a thousand times before launching any kind of rocket.

ينظر الصهاينة بقلق الى تطور صاروخ القسام في الضفة الغربية ، ونتيجة عدم وجود حلول أمنية جدية رغم كثافة الاعتقالات التي تنفذ من أجل عدم السماح بنشوء بنية تحتية مستقرة للمقاومة فان الحل الوحيد في نظر المؤسسة العسكرية الصهيونية يكمن في قساوة الرد على اطلاق أي صاروخ قسام حتى يتم تلقين الفلسطينيين درسا يجعلهم يفكرون ألف مرة قبل اطلاق أي صاروخ.

If a rocket falls on Netanya or Afula, the Zionist air force can carry out an unplanned retaliation resulting in mass murder of civilians in their towns. This will force [in the Israelis' view] the resistance [factions] not to launch rockets, out of fear for the loss of Palestinian lives.

فاذا ما سقط صاروخ على نتانيا أو العفولة فان سلاح الجو الصهيوني يمكن أن ينفذ ردا عشوائيا يؤدي الى حدوث مجازر بين المدنيين في قراهم، وهو ما سيضطر المقاومة الى عدم اطلاق الصواريخ حفاظا على حياة الفلسطينيين
